About Jade-a-Kins

Jade-a-Kins was inspired by the birth of my daughter, Jade, in 2006. When I brought Jade home from the hospital, I noticed she kept unraveling the blanket she was in (which was meant to make her feel as if she were still in my womb.) She would wake, and then I would wake. I knew I had to do something about it. My heart ached for Jade, and my body ached for rest! As a fan of fashion and having studied at Berkeley for Interior Design, I decided to make a trendy product for sleepy parents' babies that would keep their baby's blankets snug. I even made it easy for busy mom's & dad's to clean them; the interior lining can be pulled out for easy cleaning. This is how the TINY TUCKER came into fruition.

Although appreciative, I wasn't excited about the blanket the hospital had given us to bring her home in; the texture was rough and didn't stretch, not to mention had no style! So I designed a stretchy, comfortable Jade-a-Kins BLANKET to work within the TINY TUCKER.

When winter arrived, I decided to create a cozy, faux fur design for Jade so that I could "tuck" her in it. [Not while in the car seat!] I took her everywhere in her TINY TUCKER (holiday parties, restaurants, stores, etc.) She enjoyed the attention from friends, family and others! Eventually I designed TINY TUCKERS for every season, for use indoors while being swaddled to keep the babies blanket snug (not faux fur) and outdoors for fashion to show off my new baby! Then, a friend of mine wanted one for her puppy BO, and the rest is history...
